Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps serving the Ridgewood and Maspeth Areas of Queens and the Wyckoff Heights and Bushwick Areas of Brooklyn Emergency 718 386 7229
GETTING STARTED
The Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps (RVAC) began with a group of concerned residents whose goal was to give our community the extra benefits of a community ambulance service.
MAKING IT OFFICIAL
RVAC was incorporated under the not-for-profit corporation law of New York State in October of 1974 and began service in September of 1975.

MEETING YOUR NEEDS
In March of 1989, RVAC was authorized to expand its area of service to include West Maspeth and Wyckoff Heights. On June 22, 1995, we received authorization to begin cardiac Defibrillation service.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
The RVAC has sponsored and participated in health fairs for the community, benefiting thousands of individuals. Informative demonstrations and literature focusing on first aid and health information have been presented to local schools and neighborhood groups. Additionally, Corps members provide free blood pressure screenings for residents at the RVAC base as well as various locations throughout the community.
